DAVDZ230 Sony home Cinema - No sound

Hi I am just after buying a DAVDZ230 Sony home Cinema and get absoultley no sound.
I have connected all the speakers and try to play a ordinary cd - Nothing
I put a DVD in - Nothing
Scart connecttion to the televison and still nothing - Picture but noe sound through the telly.
I have done the sound test and that's ok
I have read the Manual/troubleshooting and can't see what the reason is.
Any Help would be appreciated

Aside from all of your inputs and connections, have you tried switching to AM/FM? If it can't even play back sound from an internal source (AM/FM tuner) then there is likely something wrong with it and it needs to be exchanged/repaired.
