I have a JVC Everio hard drive camcorder and would like to start editing some of my family films on my PC. However, I am unable to find an editing software that will allow me to transfer and then burn onto a DVD. Am I the only one with this issue. I am a newbie to the video realm, but whould be very grateful for any help or advice. Thanks

The mod file is basicly a mpeg2 file so you can use a mpeg2 editor like videoredo to do basic editing and save as mpg. Then author to a dvd with for example tmpgenc dvd author. See https://forum.videohelp.com/topic329355.html?highlight=mod
