    I used ffmpeg about a year ago to do this with no problems, but now when I convert my audio it the mp2 is violently "juddery", I've tried variety of bitrates, etc but top no avail. Any ideas?

    My aiff's are:

    48000 Hz, stereo, 2304 kb/ s

    Any help, suggestions, will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    2304 kbps PCM indicates 24 bits sample size. Try exporting as 16 bits (1536 kbps PCM), which I think has wider support in mp2 land.
