Hi I have had a search on these units and I'm still undecided about there quality.
The CYP CTB100 , or AVT-8710 different names for different regions - just to confirm the one I mean ...

I've got an external tbc with the basic proc amp in the form of a video mixer, but I'm finding I'm avoiding it as it isn't passing the image though as purely as I'd like. The stability is fine can't really fault that but as for the PQ there seems to be a drop which I can't really descibe. Colour has to be increased (not really matching the orig.)and other issues, it's older VHS tapes that suffer most.
I suppose it's a usual limitation of non-pro quality AV equipment but are the CTB100, AVT-8710 going to be any better. At the moment it's a pay off between PQ and stability. The images they use to describe the correction possiblities look great but I'll bet there not screen caps or real copies!
Would I do better going for a more pro market TBC/Sync and not wasting money on these pocket size boxes?
