I am capturing .avi´s at a resolution of 480x288 and then resize with virtualDub to 480x576. Is it possible to do this directly with TmpgEnc? How? Which is best, resizing previously with virtualdub, with TmpgEnc or que final quality is the same?

Yes you can resize in TMPGenc.. no problem, click settings and then set the values on the Video Tab. If you load a Template you also need to load the Unlock template before you can change the settings.
The fewer steps of encoding you do the better... so I would definatley use TMPGenc right away and skip the Virtual Dub thing.. although, if you just resize is in Virtual Dub I have a hard time thinking you'll loose that much quality.
I would test.. do the same thing is the two different ways and see which is best.
Learning by doing man...Thanx/
