Is there a DVD Player in the US that supports all the popular formats such as DivX, WMV, OGM, MKV, MP4, in the US? I'm having trouble even finding such a player if there is one.

There is none. This is about as close as you can get:

Other than computers, no players will do formats like OGM, MKV, RMVB, etc. Heck, even finding ones that do DVD-RAM (other than Panasonic) are frightfully slim...

The majority of players that you are looking at, fall into what everyone refers to as Divx players. A typical Divx player supports most files in the avi container and is also able to play raw mpeg1 and mpeg2 files. A list of certified players can be found at Divx.com.
Next would be the players such as the AVEL Link Player and the Media Gate devices. These are referred to as media playback devices. They typically support the formats of a Divx player plus support of asf/wmv and ogm files.
For support of any other file formats, you are looking at a HTPC or modded XBOX.Google is your Friend
