there's tons of video out there on U tube etc
maybe one day Ill figure out how to save those u tube vids
it occured to me, that if I could learn to cut and
edit these video files, I could then make my own videos
(political or otherwise ) put a voice over or
music etc
I could become the next Alex Jones
but how to do it ? is there a video editing / film maker
tutorial out there anywhere ?
maybe some editing software too ?
I m fed up watching other people s videos and listening to
their spin on events, its time Skybird had his say
Its time Skybird video s put the world to rights
thanks for any advice or comments

It all depends on your souce material. Taking and attempting to reuse video from youtube and other similar sites is mostly just a waste of time. Those video are usually low quality flv files. To edit them, you would have to convert it to a format such as mpeg. Then assuming you post it back to the same place, it would get converted again back to flv. Each time a video is encoded, you lose quality.
There are plenty of guides in the HOW TO section and you will learn the most by experimenting. Start in the Edit section. As you have more specific questions, just ask.Google is your Friend -
Getting the video from youtube is easy. The only conversion that I spend my time on (music videos to mp4 player) uses the native qualities of the youtube video without needing an improvement in quality (like to DVD).
flv to amv or other mp4 formats is pretty much same to same.
I did convert some youtube to DVD at the request of a wrestler who'd been posted there: The quality was so poor that I was ashamed of it, and didn't bother to retain a copy for myself.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,

I hate to break it to you, but there are plenty of people out there already who reuse existing footage in order to make mix-tapes and edits in order to illustrate a political or otherwise biased point. I do it all the time when I am not shooting HD video and cutting it together for the same purpose.
When talking about my own footage, I use Powerdirector Express to convert the HD material down to SD, then create captions or titles in Corel Paint Shop Pro X, rip existing music with Nero, then edit and assemble the pieces together in either Windows Movie Maker or TMPGEnc DVD Author, depending on how much cutting and pasting I have to do.
Whatever you do, do not kid yourself. It is not an easy process to learn. It involves a lot of experimentation and notation of the results. It is worth it, but it does not come easy."It's getting to the point now when I'm with you, I no longer want to have something stuck in my eye..."
