Hello,
It's the first time I try to capture DV video.
All is working fine with Windv.
I can open my video in any encoder or in virtualdub.
I just have a question.
Why when I open the video in virtualdub, it indicates that the audio samplign rate is 32000 hz.
Why not 44100 or 48000 hz ??
Thanks.

The camera's default is 32, yes I know it's stupid. It's set that way because the camera supports a 'voice over' feature that requires the data space. EVERYONE usually resets it to 48K as that is what you need for DVDs. When you render your existing footage you'll have to have it convert the 32K into 48K. Check your cameras manual to change the audio setting.

You can change the audio with VirtualDub....
But in the future set the camera to capture the audio in 48kHz (16bit)

Its hard to say which one is the better.
Try tmpg or VirtualDub...
audacity gives me a corrupt time line (maybe this have been fixed)...
Anyway I would use VirtualDub.
