    Greetings, and my apologies if this has been discussed previously.

    Based on the info provided here on this site I downloaded imgburn to copy some of my DVDs.

    I can get the software to read the DVD, but I can't figure out how to get it to make a copy of a DVD. It isn't intuitively logical. I want to use this software instead of my Nero, which is kind of a pain. Thanks.

    BTW, imgburn seems pretty good at reading DVDs that are of less than great quality. The DVD I tried to copy crashes on my DVD player (Toshiba) but seemed to play fine on my PC...

    ImgBurn doesn't remove any copy protections. It will only copy home-made DVD's.

    The DVD does not have copyright protection.

    Mode->Read to make an iso.
    Mode->Write.

    But it sounds that you already did that. If the dvd then crashes on your dvd player it sounds more like crappy dvd media.
