A brief google would indicate two things.

One : You are not alone in not having any friends.

Two : Halo 3 multiplayer can only be enjoyed by people with friends.

Looks like you will have to venture outside and start meeting people if you want to play multi-player in Halo 3

  4. Thus defeating the purpose of buying halo 3 in the first place, so i don't have to go out and meet friends...Master Chief is my only friend, he's the only one who understands me

I'm guessing you are the reason Bungie didn't put bots in the multi-player mode. They don't want the law suits from families whose members locked themselves into little rooms and played themselves to death thinking that this (over-rated, IMO) game was somehow the real world.

  6. My family would never sue, knowing I died doing what I loved best. But what you said makes sense tho, cause I'm sure other families would be looking for someone to blame if that were to occur, and its easy to just go after Bungie. Honestly how long would you have to play before you died? lol

A couple of years ago a family tried to sue Nintendo, I believe, because their son played his console for some 36 hours straight, then keeled over from a heart attack. Granted, the heart attack was probably caused by all the junk food the kid ate, his gross obesity, and generally sedentary life-style, but as he was playing his console at the time, it must, of course, be the console manufacturers fault.
