  1. Iv got the same problem. Vfapi doesnt get the project of Tmpgenc and doesnt generate the *.avi. I download the lastest version of everything, unregister, register, and doesnt work ... But, one thing. I changed (due to best order of software and files) the directory of Tmpgenc previous version (and of course i dont remember the original name). I think thats the reason why. I mean the unregister.bat doesnt work because of this directory change. And then the further "register" doesnt work too. Any idea to solution this matter ?? :(

I dont think, that it is a problem to change the directory. But you may try this. Open the command line console, change to the TMPG dir (all tmpg files are in one dir[.exe, .vfp, etc.])
    Then type
    rundll32.exe TMPGEnc.vfp,RunDLL_VFAPIInstall UnRegister

    Then register the plugin again
    rundll32.exe TMPGEnc.vfp,RunDLL_VFAPIInstall Register

Make sure, you checked "Register TMPGEnc.vfp to VFAPI" (options)

  3. Well. I did. Itīs the same that *.bat file do, just only did manually. But, anyway, the command ends fine, no error message, but dont work. Its the same, i mean, VFapi start and ends, no error message, but doesnt generate the *.avi file. I insist. The Unregister dont work because try to "unregister" a file that was in other directory. The problem is in this command. But i dont know how to completly "unregister" that dll. But, it must be a way. Dont you think ?? ... BTW, "Register TMPGEnc.vfp to VFAPI" checked all the time. Thanks, anyway. Another suggestion ??

  4. Truman, you are rigth. The problem is not the register. I search and finally found the way to see the register ... and it is fine. The TMPG VFapi plug-in is rigth and once. But VFapi dont work yet. Start and ends, but no generate the *.avi. The only message is some very strange under Options column, "AVI · t · @ · C · · · · ·". What does it mean ?? Thanks for your help.

Conversion with VFApi takes only a couple of seconds, if you disable the audio output.
Add the TMPG project, check "video output by vfapi reader codec", hit OK and convert. It takes only few seconds and under options you get a message like $§?#*~f**k°"2 Dont care about this, everything is working fine. If you did not change the output dir, you will find the *tpr-vfapi.avi and the *.tpr in the same directory. If this does not work, did you install the VFAPI codec?

  6. Yes, i did. But dont work. VFApi codec installed all the time ... I really know the VFAPI behaviour. Iv been used TMPG with VFAPI in other PC, with Windows NT, and everything was ok. But now, in my PC, with windows 98, dont. VFAPI starts, give me the message "AVI · t · @ · C · · · · ·" and stop. Thats it. No avi file in the same directory and no other directory either. Im really intrigued ... Any idea about what is wrong ... ?? Thanks.
