I need a guide to convert avi to dvd plz (newbie topic) help

I have a movie avi file 900mb i would like to convert it so i could watch it on my dvd player or my ps2. i have teh software winavi and cucusoft . i am a newbie so i would need help by a step by step guide . i have winavi version 6.3 and version 8.

There a lots of converters. WinAVI is not among the popular ones. If you don't mind paying a few dollars, ConvertXToDVD is about the most successful. For freeware FAVC is popular.
