From what I see, the problem is here:

    E: CdRom1: SCSIStatus(x00) WinError(121) NeroError(-600)
    Sense Key: 0x00 (KEY_NO_SENSE)
It appears your computer lost contact with your burner.

And this a couple of lines later:
    Device not available
That appears to be a communication problem.

That's a USB burner? Do you have other USB devices plugged into the computer? USB has a limited bandwidth. If other devices need to use the USB bus, they may interrupt the data transfer. I would unplug all other USB devices and see if that helps. The OS itself also can interrupt the stream to the burner. Anti-virus programs or some similar programs that are checking or accessing the USB bus can also cause this.

I would also try a different burning program on the off chance that it's something with Nero. ImgBurn can burn VIDEO_TS folders in 'Build' mode.

I don't think it's DVD media related. But it can relate to the USB chip set in your internal drive enclosure. That's a bit harder to chase down.

    And welcome to our forums.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I think its probably trying to go from the external hd to an external burner.
And thats because I was able to burn once and awhile.
The problem is my 30 gigs on my internal hd is pretty much full.
I think its time I clean up my hd and put the files to burn on the internal hd.
    Thanks for the help!!!!!!

Yes, a external HD through the computer to a external burner at the same time can be a problem. If you can free up about 10GB on your internal drive and use that to transfer to your external burner, you should have better luck.

I didn't catch that you were using a laptop, but that explains a lot. One option that may help is a PCMCIA card with USB or probably better, a FireWire output. Then you may be able to run both the drives at the same time without problems. External enclosures with FireWire and USB combos are reasonably priced and give you more options.

    Try burning at 4x , not 12x .

Disable autorun for burner , its the one that normally trips up that sensor error when disc is almost completed .
