I hope this is the right forum and I can get an answer as I haven't been able to do so via google. I am using Nero Showtime ver 3.10.1.0 which I believe is the latest version in Nero 7. When playing DVD's it doesn't seem to recognize the correct aspect ratios. It seems to always pick 16:9 and I have to force 4:3 even if it's obvious, this was the recorded format. A couple of years ago, I had an earlier version of Nero and it did not seem to have this problems. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Have you verified the AR is correctly set on the DVD9s) in question?
Also, there is a video section of the players options to force full screen and to keep the aspect ratio of the original video. There are also options in the multimonitor support section to automatically crop for letterboxing and to adjust the monitor border size.
Most likely you just have an option changed somewhere causing the weird behavior. You are also likely to get a better answer in the Nero forums. Most users here steer clear of Nero products and all of their associated issues.Google is your Friend
