    Can anyone recommend me a freeware converter to convert MPEG-2 to DV-AVI. I know it can be done with VirtualDub-MPGE, but I want a simple -one click- one and with batch processing capability.

    For what purpose?

    Most editing software (Including Virtualdub) can make the conversion but expect quality loss.

    ffmpeg -i video.mpg -target ntsc-dv video.dv

    Hi Baldrick,
    Thanks for the reply. I guess I would have to set the switch -target to PAL since I am in Europe
    Is there a way to do this in batch?

    Thinking about my own question: I could create a .bat file to do batch processing.
    But will the next conversion only start after the previous one?
    Or is there another way to achieve this?
