    Does anybody know if Iphone will be available for verizon wireless and when?

    whenever the current at+t contract is up. Wasn't it a two year deal??

    Then again you could risk buying a hacked phone and see if it will still work after the last update.

    OR better yet buy another smartphone with twice as many features at half the price

    I just wanted IPhone because it popular but nothing I can do now. AT&T phone don't have good reception in my area. Yes, it looks like 5 years. 8)

    Current iPhone is GSM, which is not currently supported by Verizon. You might check the coverage for T-Mobile, they do GSM also. No go on Verizon, Sprint, Alltel or US Cellular.
