If you want to save something from the web, Firefox with the "Unplug" plugin will catch a lot of embedded media.

Capturing something from the web, recoding it and redirecting to a local network isn't simple.

Maybe you could be more specific about what you want to do.

i have dvb card .. sky star 2
i use dvbdream , MyTheatre to watch the channels
in both program we have remote view option .. send the video to the lane as unicast

so in vlc ctrl+n to receive and/or encode the video

i want another program to do this coz .. i try with WME but no success it seems only chapter from file or device as a source

In VLC you can stream save raw, or encapsulated as , mp1, asf, mp4, avi, mpeg PS, mpeg TS, Ogg, whatever you want. An asf format might be easier for WME to work with.

Otherwise just stream dump with VLC to your hd as an mp1 if you have the space. mp1's are pretty universal. You can recode later. I am assuming you want to save tv shows for later.

If you don't use a cable/sat approved box/card/decoder, then the signal will not be high definition. That's probably why you get 'big pixels' with VLC and the skystar card.

Your cable/sat company should be able to supply you with a decoder box that has an internal hard drive (TiVo or something like it). Once you have the show or program saved on the hard drive, you can copy it off to your computer and stream it to your home theatre.

Nilesat is an older satellite repositioned to provide free tv and internet to North Africa. I wouldn't expect a high quality signal from it. The quality of signal will vary with the style and position of the recieiving dish, the cable length, the weather and where you are in it's signal area.

The software you use won't help you unless you have good reception. You should try to borrow some better hardware from a neighbor and see if that helps, before spending more time and money on software.

many thanks for reply and your help

im sure now its from vlc coz i try the following

recode some video and try to encode it with WME , vlc
    with vlc 120 384*288
    with WME 120 384*288
    also 300k for both
VLC video big pixels and many square over the picture
WME provide much better quality and clear picture

and with dvd .. vlc provide the same problem in video
vlc forum , support cant provide much help .. i think they are busy
i can spend on software if it will fix this problem and i can stream live .
