Help with VLC settings

Given the way the specs are worded, I wonder if it only plays authored DVD, SVCD, and VCD? Meaning that burning MPG files onto a data CD/DVD won't work. Try Some Divx/Mp3 AVI files on data CD or DVD. The player is likely to be much more flexible with that.

Have you ever had any vid play on the rig?

Here's one you can try (only fair quality due to trying to keep the size down), but it seems to meet the requirements.

Video: MPEG2 Video 720x576 (16:9) 25.00fps 4400Kbps [Video]
Audio: MPEG Audio 48000Hz stereo 192Kbps [Audio]

Well this info:

VCD = 352x388
svcd = 480x480
dvd = 720x576
divx5 = 640x480

Seems rather limiting. Try this Xvid (it's hot) and see if it plays. PCM audio is not listed in your specs though.

Video: XVID 720x416 25.00fps 2699Kbps [Video 0]

sorry to bump this thread again but i still can't download or convert
videos to the correct settings needed to play on this monitor.

anyone wanna help out... again?
