Given the way the specs are worded, I wonder if it only plays authored DVD, SVCD, and VCD? Meaning that burning MPG files onto a data CD/DVD won't work. Try Some Divx/Mp3 AVI files on data CD or DVD. The player is likely to be much more flexible with that.

Seems rather limiting. Try this Xvid (it's hot) and see if it plays. PCM audio is not listed in your specs though.

videos to the correct settings needed to play on this monitor.
