  1. I was wondering how to burn the vob, iso ect files after they're made. I had a .wmv and I used easy wmv convert and it made the vob files and everything ok but I don't know how to burn em. It's been a while since I made a back up and I remember something about after I made the vob files I could just burn 'em using nero express but that doesn't seem to work for some reason. So I put 'em in nero vision but it seems that it's taking forever and a day to do it becasue it is converting it AGAIN to ntsc and all that kinda stuff but that stuff was done when I converted it from wmv to the vob files so what's the prob? Why can't I just straight burn the vob iso and all those files to a dvd? Thanks

Nero has a bad habit of wanting to re-encode everything you put into it, even DVD compliant video. You may be able to turn that off, but I would just use a real authoring program instead. If you want a freeware authoring program, try GUI for dvdauthor. Or payware, TMPGEnc DVD Author is easy to use.

Sorry, I misread your original post. You already have the authored files. You don't need a authoring program if they were processed correctly, just a burning program.

So using Nero Burning ROM, just select 'DVD-Video' and put the contents of your VIDEO_TS folder into the red VIDEO_TS folder Nero shows. If they are DVD compliant, they don't need to be re-encoded.

Or for freeware and even easier, use ImgBurn. Select 'Build' mode and point it to your VIDEO_TS folder. It will burn the files to a DVD. ImgBurn is recommended over Nero most times for just burning.

To see if you have a DVD compliant file, you can look to 'WHAT IS' DVD on the upper left on this page. That will give you info on the DVD format and specification.
