    Hello,

I am doing some pal dvd to ntsc conversion. I have my video processed successfully and I also have the menus that were made from numenu4u/menuedit (edited the original button layout from the pal menu with calculator and notepad). When I did the menu conversion I did it separately so now each menu is VTS_1_0.vob instead of it being named in correct order. So I'm wondering how do I reauthor these custom menus I did so that they are in order and attach it to the authored dvd. Should I use something like ifoedit to do this? I'm not very experienced with ifoedit. Anyway the first menu has play all and episode select, then second menu is a list of the episodes an a home button. I'm wondering how do I tell the first menu to link to the second menu page when episode select is selected? thanks

  2. Hi-

Use the Replace feature of VobBlanker to replace the PAL menus with the NTSC menus one-by-one. That's explained in the Replacing section of my Menu Editing guide. The menu commands will remain unchanged from the original PAL DVD. You'll most likely have to change the button sizes all over again. You use PGCEdit for that, and it's easier to do than how you did it with a calculator. You'll also have to import the menus and colors from the original menus, again using PGCEdit. That process is detailed in the Exporting and Importing sections of my menu editing guide:

You'll find only some of that guide useful, as it doesn't tackle PAL2NTSC.

I'm having a little trouble with this. The original dvd has the first menu in VIDEO_TS.vob , the second page of the menu is in VTS_2_0.vob.Vobblanker detects the menu in the video_ts but not the one in vts_2_0.vob, it tell me to do a full menu scan, which I do,but it still not detected.

  4. And you're opening the original, complete and unchanged PAL DVD in VobBlanker? Then I can't help if it doesn't find everything. About all I can suggest is to post in the IFO/VOB Editors Forum at Doom9 where the VobBlanker developer can be found.
