I have a collection of DVD's ripped to AVI in a folder with a Media.db and ivThumbs.db and want to convert and burn back to DVD with the menu's, scene points etc. I am just not sure how to make this all happen with the series of progs I have, or at all I guess.

I figured out how to do a straight conversion, I think, but not sure how to add the other items in to restore it to original form to watch on my TV. What must I do? and What must I use if necessary?

I don't believe it can done, at least not that I've read about anywhere. Not that it would likely be worth the effort anyway. Even with the best tools, converting mpeg2 to avi and then avi back to mpeg2 causes a huge reduction in quality.

Download favc. Feed it your avi's. When it is done you will have a dvd ready for burning. Original menus are gone unless there is something special about Media.db and ivThumbs.db that I don't know about. Favc is not fast but will provide better quality than other converters.

If you still have the DVD's, I would start over. Otherwise you are stuck with the low quality avi files, at which point it would be easiest to just get a standalone player capable of Divx playback. Then just burn your avi files directly to DVD's as data.
