  1. hi, i'm using Ulead DVD moviefactory to chapterize and burn my VCD's,

but this program only knows the formats:
    NTSC 29,xxx 352x240
    PAL 25 fps 352x288..

But most of my movies (about.. ALL of them!!) are of the NTSCfilm format (23,xxx), But ulead doesn't know this format..

It's realy a neat program, but with this problem out of the way, it would be even better.

Is there an easy way to solve this, maybe to convert NTSC(film)>PAL

i hope i gave enough info, else ask me...
as long as my boss thinks i make a lot of money, i will pretend to work hard ;)

email ulead and tell them to add ntscfilm support!

you could convert to pal 25 fps, the best method is this one by doom9 if your source is avi http://www.doom9.org/mpg/avi2svcd.htm . it is a bit tricky but you get best result no lagging picture.

What i understand when i was "exploring" the program BeSweet, it can only convert to Mpeg-2... im trying to convert to mpeg1 / vcd...

is it just me... or is it getting warmer in here??

besweet ONLY converts the audio to mpeg1 layer2 audio...you still have to encode the video with tmpgenc.

  5. Ok you can read my post http://www.vcdhelp.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=76803&highlight=ntsc+pal but in your case all you have to do is convert the video to PAL resolution and change the frame rate of the video to 25 fps and finally speed up the video to +4%
