Hey all, I recently bought a DVR and have recorded several shows onto it's hard drive. As it turns out, I suspect that both it and my satellite box were fried during a recent power outage. So, not wanting to lose the shows on the DVR, I pulled out the HD and put it in my PC. So Vista can see the HD and it lists it's make and model, however there doesn't appear to be any viewable data.

    1) Is this a feasible procedure?

    2) What do I have to do through Vista to make the data on the HD visible in Windows explorer?

    3) Are there any free software products to make this easier?

    Thanks!!

search the net for your make and model. There might be a hacker community for it.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
