Hey, as anyone here, I have a ton of DVDs (500 or so). I made over 3TB of ISO and VOBs (VOBs before DL media came out). I am looking for a way of mounting the images to play off the hard drives or through my network without a computer connected to the TV. I heard about the Pixel Magic MB100 but it seems pricey and I never heard of the company. Has anyone else run into the same problem as me? Perhaps the Apple TV can be modified to support ISO and VOB?

Every media streamer I've read about has huge drawbacks. One of the worst is bit rate limitations - if the video bit rate is too high, the streamer can't play it without stuttering. From what I've read about one specific player, the bit rate limitation was about 6000 Kbps, which is a lot lower than you'd like.

Do a lot of research and be very very sure any streaming device can handle bit rates of up to 9000 Kbps just to be safe before you buy it.

I do not personally know of anything that can meet your needs, but perhaps someone else does.

Are you willing to run a wire from your tv area to your network? If so, consider getting a modded xbox. For around $150 (including a remote) you can set it up to play your dvds stored on your network.

Isn't this what an HTPC does? You are going to need a front end of some sort. Your storage disc's (wherever they are) would need to connect to the front end and stream the media to it.
