Could anyone recommend a current 19" lcd monitor?

Samsung and viewsonic seem to be the best brands.

supposedly viewsonic holds the record for the best longevity with the backlight/bulbs that they use on their lcd monitors. if you decide to choose viewsonic make sure you get one with a 3 year warranty. they do have some models that only carry a 1 yr. warranty. even though i had a sour note with viewsonic when i had to rma a lcd monitor earlier in the year i still recommend them to friends/family. if i needed another lcd monitor i'd still buy another viewsonic.

Another viewsonic fan here. I've got two of theirs. Nice. Pro-series is the way to go in my humble opinion. I also had an issue with RMA, they are as slow as a month of Sundays.

I used ViewSonic CRTs forever. Now I mix between ViewSonic, Samsung, Apple, Sony, and Dell. The Sonys has some problems after being used round the clock for about 6 months so I don't think I'd get those again just yet, but my Dells, Apples, and ViewSonics have been great.

Well, I just measured my desk and I def can get a 20 inch WS...would that be more beneficial or is the amount too tiny to matter?

I could also looking into 22inch but that seems awfully large to me.

Well, I'm now thinking about throwing away this desk I just bought to buy a new one because I want a larger monitor now, lol. I just wish I didn't waste the $600 on it.

I have a VIEWSONIC 19 inch that was directly from them but it was sent as a warranty replacement. VIEWSONIC sent me a brand new 19 inch lcd monitor since I qualified to get a replacement. It works well and this is why I suggested if you went with them to get one that has a 3 year warranty.

Why won't you buy a VIEWSONIC LCD from a store in your area? Less hassles to return to the store than to have to ship it back to the VIEWSONIC online store or any online vendor. Remember that most online vendors will have DEAD PIXEL POLICIES should the unit you receive is defective in some way!
