I ran Mpeg2repair to check a movie, the first pass shown in the picture shows PIDs values, as well as Program/Video/Audio Tracks values.
Then I selected the option to fix the file. The new file shows different values, all changed as shown in the 2nd picture.

Question: how do I tell if the .TS file is fixed or not ?
Is the 2nd picture showing correct values ? I don't know what the values should look like, thanks.

Mpeg2repair always remaps the video and audio PIDs to 11 and 14. That's a good thing, it makes it compatible with most hardware players.

A PID is like a subchannel of programs. On OTA captures, the video will often include "junk" channels, like shopping and weather in addition to the main program you've recorded. Mpeg2repair strips out everything but the main program PID.

    great, thanks Soopafresh.

So whenever I see the PIDs not the same as shown in 2nd picture then I will use the option to "fix" and create a new .TS file.
