So I am trying to back up a 7.5 GB DVD using DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD, and no matter what I do, the ripping speed will not go above 1.1X ... argh!

I know I have some settings wrong somewhere... but where?

    Help?

Try first rip with dvdfab decrypter and if it's also slow you might have something wrong with your dvd reader.

Had this problem before, and the disabling of a few settings in either DVDDecrypter or AnyDVD took care of it just fine. It only seems to give me this problem when I am attempting to duplicate DVDs that absolutely will not be pared down or squashed into 4.35GB (130 minutes-plus or so).

That DVDFab will not allow me to simply clone the DVD without paying money is presently a major problem.

Just to add to the fun, DVDDecrypter keeps bombing out about 25% of the way through the rip. I know I did something to make a whole-disc copy of the thing, but I cannot remember how it works with Decrypter and AnyDVD, and I do not want to risk losing a DVD+R DL to something going wrong in the procedure (I spent a fair whack of money getting ones that could burn at 10X-speed).

I know I made this mistake early on myself, but DVDFab =/= dvdfab decrypter.

Baldrick is saying try to rip first with DVDFab Decrypter.
