Hi all, a long time since i last posted, not really had to update my software until now as it's been running so well!

Anyway, i've converted a couple of AVI's, using the newer version of the software, i do exactly as i've always done.

However, when i played the .VOB files in Windows Media Player (Start > Run > mplayer2) the resulting image has been flipped upside down.

Anyone any ideas as to cause/solution ? I haven't tried burning and checking on a standalone, but i suspect it'll be the same.

    Thanks,

    Azza

  2. Did you play the VOB directly? If so, try playing from the IFO in a software DVD player, try also on your stand alone player. If the problem is present there, post your log. What's your S2D version number? There were several very recent updates.

  4. I believe we're up to 2.5.3300, you might download it and see what results you get.

i suspect it maybe to do with the colourspace of the source file.... Can we see your log for this run please?

Strange, i ran the same 2 AVI's through with my older version (2.0) and it didn't have the same issues.

I've run through the same conversion again, with the very latest version, and still the same thing. Conversion seems to be fine, but the image is upside down, and i think it's actually mirrored, so back to front as well. Also, it doesn't seem to be picking up the .sup files in the directory properly.

I'll pm you both the log if that's ok ?

    Thanks.

I thought that only DirectShow video decoders were
"capable" to "naturally" generate upside-down images as output ---
apparently I have been wrong. I suppose that happens because
such decoders scan the frames as if these were Windows .BMP files.

This was due to me being an absolute muppet and using a machine via Remote Desktop for my conversions. For some reason, when i played the resultant DVD via Remote Desktop, it flipped/mirrored the image.

When i connected to the machine directly and played it, it was fine.

    Sorry for the wasted time..
