Hi
I have joined several avi files together, but i was wondering is there anyway to put a break between each file as it's different episodes of a tv show. because if i press next it just takes me back to the start. so i need to fast forward it if i want to watch another episode if that makes sense.
Thanks.

What's your final intent with the files? Are you burning to DVD?
If you are, you can add chapter points at the beginning of each file for skipping around. You can also encode each episode independently and author them together on the same disc for viewing.
If you are heading for DVD as your final destination, the separate episodes would be better than one big file. -
Thanks for that. only thing is i dont have a clue how to put chapters points in.

I take it you are heading toward putting your video on a DVD.
Go find GuiForDVDAuthor in the tools section. Then, look at some of the guides for using the tool.
That'll get you started.
GFD is a very nice, free piece of software for authoring and you can put in chapter points until your heart's content.
You might also want to check out some of the encoding tools and their guides too. You'll need to be working with DVD compliant MPEG2 video and AC3 audio to author. AVI won't work until you encode to MPEG2.
