  1. Im having trouble playing a file when I play it in divx it says the file does not contain a video track. and when i play it with other players, they say the file is not supported. I recorded this video on my webcam and it's in avi format. i've recorded on my webcam before and it played fine. but not this one. any ideas how to fix this?? what does it does not contain a video track mean? thanks

    Start by determining what the file actually contains. AVI is just a container format. The actual contents are packed using codecs. You need to work out what codecs were used. G-Spot or MediaInfo will tell you what they are, and therefore what you need to play it back.

    However, if you are having problems playing this file back on the same PC you created it on, you may simply have a corrupt file, and the actual contents are trashed and unreadable anyway.

    First, drop it into Gspot 2.70 and see what it says about the file. Post a screenshot if you like: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic271697.html

    Also, try playing it with VLC. It uses it's own included codecs, so it's a good test to see if it's a installed codec problem.
