I used the guide to convert an avi to xvcd and the quality is real good, just the way i wanted it to be. But when burn it as a xvcd following exacly the other guide, the output of it is really screwed. No image, or just lots n' lots of green stripes and errors. But i downloaded the ntsc sample (ftp://ftp.dvd-wizards.com/Vcdhelp2/XSVCD-NTSC-3500kbit.zip), burned that on a cd and that worked fine!! So it should work on my dvdplayer. The resolution and the framerate are exacly the same as the sample so I don't understand why it doesn't workIs it maybe because the sample was a BIN, and my clip is a mpeg or something?
After 2 days of searching, irritating and crying, I'm desperate.
Can someone help me to get it to work?
**UPDATE**
When I look at the xvcd on my comp using Powerdvd it seems to work, but it won't work on my dvd (Toshiba SD 210E).But howcome the sample I've downloaded will work ??? IS it because that was a bin? how did they make/encode/burn the samples?

Are u sure that your dvd player can play xvcds efficiently?
Just because it says it can in the dvd players page does NOT mean it can.
I would check the comments on your player as well to see what other people have to say. -
As I said, I downloaded the svcd sample, burned it and it worked..

I burned the BIN with nero, started nero, chose 'burn image' selected the bin and burned it.
I burned the mpeg the way the guide told.. new compilation, vcd, turned off the standard compliant cd, dragged the mpeg to the area and burned it.Legendary Super Newbie!

dont turn of standard compliance unless nero asks i only say this as i use 5.5.1.8 and it lets me burn xvcds cbr cq 100 as standard compliant only if i change resolution does it say its wrong and ask if i want to burn as non compliant but you have done everything right it should work maybe try another clip and see what happens it could just be the clip also my dvd player wont play disks burnt at anything other than 2x write speed it doesnt display any images

hmm the guide told me to turn it off.. but i'll try you'r methode. The original avi i made the xvcd from is 512x384, i used that resolution for the xvcd, i also used the one in the guide (720x480) but both didn't work.
That's the reason i'm using xvcd, because I want to keep that high resolution.
Maybe on an older version of Nero they will work..Legendary Super Newbie!
