  1. I've been burning a lot of 3-5 minute music videos to disc in SVCD format. My problem is that the volume levels fluctuate greatly from song to song. So far the only way to change them is in TMPGEnc one song at a time and it's kind of hit or miss. If it'e off I have to reencode the whole vid and try again. There's gotta be a better way. Any ideas on how to normalize (make them all the same decibal level) all the songs on the disc preferably through batch encoding? Is there a plug in or other program designed for that? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Open TMPGenc. Load your desire template. After click "setting" and "advanced" tab.
Mark box "audio effect" and double click on "audio effect" and will open the "audio effect" window. Mark box "change volume" (normally 100%). After all then click OK OK and go to start encoding or "save project" for batch encode process.
BE CARE: For each file to encode or batch encode go to setting and mark box "audio effect".
    It works nice for me.
    Good luck.

  3. I think the question was "how do I get the same volume consistantly in my vids (without increasing/decreasing teh volume in TMPGEnc for each file)"

I am curious too...is there a way to get a consistent decibal level over multiple files from different sources?

Well.. Nomalization should solve the problem.. since the Music videos from start should be mastered in a very good way.. the RMS average should be okay.

Since the files are in an individual Volume level then you of course need to fix them individually...

You don't have to reencode the whoel video.. just extract the sound and fix it in WaveLab or SoundForge... and then mux them again..

I have never seen any application that can compare and fix volume adjusting in Videoclips toghter...

I know you can fix an very nice volume in some CD Audio recorders but have'nt seen with videofiles.
    Thanx/

  5. I had the same problem burning music from various sources but i use to run the wav/mp3 files trough easy cd creators "spin doctor" where there is an option to balance audiolevels to the same for all files. I dont know if it's capable to do mp2 but convert to wav and it work pretty good. Then remux with the videos.
