Hello, I don't know what is causing what. I backup and watch the movie I buy using CLoneDVD 2.1.12 (the lastest version). The media I have been using are Sony DVD RWs 4x speed discs. They rarely give me trouble until now.
My computer DVD burner is a LG-4167(lastest firmware). My DVD player/recorder is a Liteon DD-100(lastest firmware) I bought from BestBuy.
Aff of a sudden any disc I burn, whether its from Roxio or CloneDVD, my Liteon unit says "Invalid Disc". So, I use a brand new Sony disc, burn a movie, it works fine. Then I use the exact same disc again, erase, burn a movie, I get the "invalid disc" message.
To make sure, upstairs I have a Philips 642 DVD player (latest firmware) and a Liteon 5115 GHC recorder. Both players upstars cannot play the disc.
What is causing this? These are new discs. I rarely have trouble with Sony discs. Is it the software programs, the computer dvd writer, or the players? Thanks for your time.
This is frustratng b/c I now have 5 DVD RW coasters. My computer cannot recognize them, they just spin and spin until I eject.

The first thing I would try is a different disc brand. Maybe the Sony's have changed? At least that may rule them out as the problem. Next would be the burner itself has a problem.
Less of a possibility is your burning program. But it's also easy to try a different burning program.
