I inadvertently erased files from my Sony HDR-SR1, then recovered the files with a conevntional recovery program.

The result: the cameras hard drive is full, but none of the files appears in the index. The file structure is in tact, but the Stream subdirectory is full of *.MTS files preceded by an underscore (i.e. _00.57.MTS) and other MTS files that I don't know how to access.

    Help?

copy the files off the cam as .mts then you should have the Sony Disk Utility that comes with the cam that will allow you to convert them to mt2s transport streams you can edit. afterward you should probably reformat the cam h.d.

i don't have that cam but it's supposed to come with a disc utility software that can do it for you.
