Can I transfer the contents of my VCR HDD to my DVR HDD in one shot or do I have to transfer one file at a time ?
In either case, can I transfer the contents at a higher speed than real time ?
Thanks,
Mike

What make and model VCR do you have that has a Hard Drive (HDD)
What Make and model DVR do you have. with Disk and HDD
It could make a difference in any proplems with copy protection
Dubbing (transfering) a VHS tape to another unit is in real time and the transfer is in one shot -
Oops sorry, I meant DVR to DVR. I'm trying to move the stuff on my Comcast Motorola (dual tuner, can't find a model number) DVR to a Polaroid DRA-01601A DVR.

Don’t have those units
CP could rear its ugly head. The programs may allow a recording to the HDD but not to a Disk or a copy from the HDD to a disk.
If transfers are possible the easiest could be To transfer from the HDD to a + or – RW disk and than copy that disk to the Polaroid. This should not be in real time
That disk can be erased and reused
Another possibility If the above fails
If a disk can be burned from the HDD but will not copy to the HDD or disk on the Polaroid, you might try playing the disk in the unit uoy have or an other unit and copy this to the Polaroid.
This would be in real time. I doubt it would work but is worth a try -
I kinda figgered it wouldn't be a simple thing.
Thanks very much for responding,
Mike
