    I have an avi file that will not come up on my media player or the new VLC player. Can someone help me out?

    Run the AVI through a utility like GSpot or MediaInfo and post a screenshot/cut-and-paste of the resulting information here, so we might be able to tell why you're not able to play the file. Blank out the filename/path information, if you prefer.
