I guess you have downloaded the x264 encoder and it's a standalone command line encoder, use it together with a gui like megui. Or you can download a vfw codec that you can use in for example virtualdub from http://gabextreme.googlepages.com/x264vfwunited .

Is it not downloading or are you not able to run it? There is a big difference.

@arabian: Like Baldrick wrote x264 from http://x264.nl/ is just an encoder and not a decoder. ffdshow which you can download from the same website contains a avc/h.264-decoder, but this decoder so far is not able to handle all avc/h.264-compression options like paff and cabac. So far from my experience either PowerDVD7-Ultra (Only the "Ultra"-edition) and WinDVD8-Platinum, Elecard (Mainconcept)-h.264-decoder-package and Sonic-Cinemaster come with decent avc/h.264-decoders able to handle all kind of different variants of avc/h.264-clips like from DVB-S2-transmissions, Bluray and HD-DVD.

The Op mentions "convert my movie", so I believe he is wanting an encoder.

    @ arabian,
Avidemux works well for conversions to x264 and is pretty easy to use. The default settings should work fine. It comes with the x264 encoder built-in. Windows version here:
