I'm using FAVC to create a DVD from 5 XVID files I have. I set everything up and it starts encoding just fine, but the finished product isn't what I would expect. Instead of creating a DVD with all 5 files, it is creating a DVD with only 2 of the files. The VOBs it produces are encodes of File 1, File 2, and a duplicate of File 2. That's it. It neglects the other 3 files I chose, and it creates a duplicate of the second file for some reason.

This is driving me crazy, because this program runs great on my 64bit system where others crashed. The encodes it produces look good too. Is there something I'm missing here? I can't understand why it would give such an odd result.

Can you play those files back correctly ? There have been several posts regarding corrupt file systems that lead to the selection of one video resulting in the playback of another.

You can also tell FAVC to create the scripts, then stop. You can then look at the scripts to see what it is doing.

Playback works perfectly in every program I've tried. Other conversion programs have had no problem reading and transcoding these files, so I can't see why FAVC would. I'm pretty stumped on this one. I'll see if I can gather anything from the scripts.

    That's very odd.
First if you could check the scripts, as guns1inger says that would be good - they'll be in the working folder as Title0.avs, Title1.avs, etc. Check that the correct files are being referenced/opened in them.
