  1. I ripped a DVD which has two aspect ratios:
    1)Standard
    2)Widescreen

I opened the vob files in DVD2AVI and the aspect ratio was 4:3. I tried to get to be 16:9 but with no luck. I can get 16:9 flaskmpeg but I want to encode using nandub. Is there a way to change aspect rations in DVD2AVI??

  2. Different aspect ratios are contained in different VOBs. You need to rip the other set of VOBs. Smartripper should tell you the aspect ratio of the title you're ripping.

Like kinneera said different vobs have different aspects. Usually the first vob of the movie which contains the menu "VTS_0x_0.VOB" has a 4:3 aspect and the movie itself after that vob "VTS_0x_1.VOB". is in 16:9.

When you use DVD2avi to frame serve to tmpgenc select the "VTS_0x_1.VOB". DVD2avi will automaticly select all the following vobs of the movie.

You then save your project as normal select which track of audio to demux and set tmpgenc up to encode it for you.
