    Hey all..I am fairly new to all this but have successfully ripped quite a few dvd's. My problem is that I have a 16x dvd rom, yet it only seems to go 2x when using smartripper, and I dont see any options anywhere as to configure it...any ideas or suggestios??????

    The speed isn't Smart Rippers fault, it's other things that cause it, you should check for the following:
    1) ASPI Layer - Make sure it's updated!
    2) IDE Drivers - Install latest for your mainboard!
    3) DVD Drive - Make sure it's Master on secondary IDE

    Also, as a side note, most Toshiba/Sony drives a crappy rippers, most of them can barely even pass the 2x ripping speed.

    and sefy forgot to mention is your firmware it might be out-dated and need to be upgraded...but dont attempt to Flash your drive if you dont know what you are doing
