    hi
ok i have a video file in .rmvb format but whenever i try to play it(media player classic) there is video but no sound. I have played the same file and other rmvb files before and it worked up until just a few days ago.

recently i had to reboot all my system files due to virus and lost most of my codecs but i got them all back. (The video was working after my reboot.) i use something called CCCP which has FFDshow and Haali codecs. when i started having this problem i searched around and got real alternative but i stll have the same problem. Also when i play the file it jumps from different points and takes awhile to start. does anyone have any hints on what i can do to fix this

sorry if i posted this in tehe wrong place or if there is already a topic like this ..i searched and i didnt find anything .

Try dropping the file into Gspot 2.70 or MediaInfo and see what the format and attributes of the file are. Gspot may tell you if you are missing a audio codec also. Use the render buttons on the bottom left.

    And welcome to our forums.
