    Hi,

I am currently feeling really frustrated that i am not able to get this DVD to .mp4 rip working without a problem. I can do all DVD's but this one with no problem but a few DVD of a particular collection.

This DVD plays on my computer and DVD player with no problem. When i use the DVD ripping software (about 5 different programs on both Mac and PC) the video part of the file works with no problem.

The issue arises with the audio part of the file. The audio is inline with the speaker, but their is a huge distortion. It almost sounds like chipmunk but it is incomprehensible.

I have tried running it through a program removing region coding or copyright etc, but with not change in the outcome of the file. This has never happened on any DVD before, but these DVD's are very important and need to be copied asap.

Any Help Would Be Making Life Wonderful For Me
    Thank You
    Matthew

Chipmunk sound is usually a frequency problem , playing back 41Khz (CD) sound at 48Khz (DVD) for example . I can only er.. guess that the header on the sound has the wrong setting , I don`t know what settings are on your software (as a place for you to take a peek at) for the sound , keep it at 48khz . Best of luck Matthew (in the Rugby this afternoon as well )
Guessing further , even at a dvd/cd frequency header error it should still be understandable , if its indistinguisable then it might be playing at a much higher one . Although consistent errors across all dvds should help find the issue if its just some dvds are going pear shaped , then look for whats different on them - ac3 sound ? which coincides with the only other thing that crosses my mind is a codec problem -> ac3/mp2/lpcm/mp3/mp4 sort of thing .
