Hi Guys,
Do you know of any program in the range from free to $100-150 which can encode .wav files into AC-3 for putting onto DVD? I read that audio in this format will save you a lot of space on the DVD. DVDit PE and ReelDVD do that conversion, but are quite expensive.

or you could convert to mpeg1 audio layer2 but not all authoring tools support that. The only ac3 tool I have seen is sonic foundry soft encoder but it has been discontinued.
