    Hello all,
Before I begin, I'd just like to point out that I'm not exactly a pro at movie editing, so any help along the way would be greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in creating this specific effect for a movie I'm working on. I've included a sample of the clip, which is a sequence from The Matrix. Basically, it shows Neo punching Morpheus, and his fist is moving at "super-human" speed, thus, you can see multiple fists moving, I want to know how this can be done.

Sorry about my VERY sketchy explanation, but you can check the video to see what I mean. I'm currently using Ulead VideoStudio Pro 11 and have recently obtained a copy of Adobe After Effects.

Many thanks for reading, and I hope I can be assisted!

Just a guess, but that looks like it was made using multiple cameras. I don't know how you could closely duplicate that with an video editor. Maybe by duplicating every tenth or so frame three times in a row or similar to make the action pause or stutter. It would be difficult to make a smooth display.

But we have a fair amount of members that know a whole lot more about special effects that might have some better ideas.

    And welcome to our forums.

Go hire or buy the Matrix and watch the features - it covers all the multi-camera bullet time work.

You might be able to fake it by taking the same clip, overlaying it multiple times and offsetting each version by 1 - 2 frames so you can see all of them together.
