hi I have the bluetinum BT-TTU305B , which in XP uses the Empia USB 2821 drivers .

however - I cannot find any drivers for Vista - any one know where to get generic (or something) drivers for a device which uses this chipset ?

I use Honestech TV 3.0 plus as capture software (was with the device)

but it constants keeps crashing in vista - and the audio driver for the capture card (and the video I suppose) isnt installed

    HELP

This may not work, but did you try installing the driver using XP SP2 Compatibility mode? I got a HDTV card working that way and it didn't have any Vista drivers available. I also temporarily turned off UAC when I loaded the drivers and software. Not sure how much that helped, but it did get rid of some of the warnings. Now everything but the infrared remote receiver works. But I didn't use that anyway. Might be worth a try.

    And welcome to our forums.

The XP SP2 compatibility mode is in 'Properties' when you right click the driver. My HDTV card is running perfect with no Vista drivers available. During the install, Vista gives a lot of warnings and says it's not the right driver, but it still works. In regular mode, it wouldn't let me do the install at all.

Be aware that audio is handled much different in Vista than earlier OS's. You may have to play with the settings a fair amount to get it working, if it will work at all. Vista uses mostly software for audio, so some audio cards won't work with it. But because it's software, there should be more flexibility with the settings.

Sorry, you can't choose XP SP2 mode to install or run .inf files. I think that only works for .exe files or files that have an installer program.
