I read that if I upgrade to the "latest" version of FFMpeg that it would include correct metadata in FLV output.

Unfortunately, when I use this flv player ...

... the scroll across movie length (scrub) bar is inaccurate on the first play of each flv file.

Does anyone know of a solution?

p.s. If you plan on suggesting my use of FLVTool2, Please understand that I'm a newb in the command line realm and that I'm on a Mac. The most basic instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome....yeah I don't want to have to download another program because I like ffmpegx for all my flash conversions. The problem is, the people that do our website here need metadata in order to put up our new video feature. Do you know when exactly when the new feature will be released? I know nothing about metadata either...it's all foreign to me.

I had posted asking about this (then found this thread after the fact and deleted my post). It does work great with video produced in 0.0.9x. I'm happily posting 9 minute, 17 MB video online that is very good in quality and the timeline is scrubbable.

    Thanks

  9. The new version with FLV metadata handling is almost done, I'm just adding an iPhone preset and localizing.
