i got the VOBs for my movie, but i want to make it an MPEG or whatever, and i can, but its not quite perfect, how can i get zero loss video and audio from the vobs?

Don't convert them, that will result in zero quaility lost
The first question thou is what do you want to convert the VOBs into: DivX (PC only), xSVCD, DVDR, etc. How many CDRs do you mind putting it on, etc. etc.
