Why does a audio file that sounds bad on PS2 sounds perfect on computer? How can I determine what is needed for that file to sound close to perfect in PS2? Is there a program that can recreate the PS2 problem on computer and possibly give an idea to correct it? Container is mpeg-ps,codec is ac-3 though i used mp2 and it sounded the same on PS2 but perfect on computer.

  2. The problem in in your PS2. You need to look into the audio there. The fact thta it sounds fine on teh computer means it isn't the file but the playback software/hardware that has a problem.

Start with "how" you are transferring such content to the ps2 .

Media related ... either media is poor quality , or the unit is having an issue playing from that particular brand .

Then it might be , ps2 (laser issues) , cables , receiving unit .

semi-solved! after more research on ps2 versions, itested the dvd in a ps2 slim and the dvd played perfect. so my older v. does'nt support it. Something to do with the firmware, which I can't find anywhere. thanks.
