    He is my problem...

I am looking for a video player that I can open multiple instances of and play 2-5 different avi/divx files at the same time. I was able to do so in XP with Media Player 6.4 which was buried in the WMPlayer folder, but it is not compatible with Vista Home Premium.

I have tried Media Player Classic, but it switches of my Aero interface and I can open up multiple instances, however it will only play one file at a time. Actually the video portion will only play on one open window. The audio plays on every instance of the program I open up.

So my question is...Am I missing a setting to allow video to play? If not, is there a program I can use and open multiple video players to play different videos that is compatible with Vista. (I don't realy care about Aero, but I have noticed that programs that shut off Aero tend to lock up my system, requiring a hard restart)

    Thanks

Even in XP, playing multiple instances of video was often hampered by video drivers and codec support. Finding the right combination will likely be a matter of trial and error, especially using Vista which has codec issues anyway.

  3. Please go to this webpage... https://www.videohelp.com/software/Media-Player-Classic ...download the portable version ...whatever you do don't update it or allow any prompts to make changes to the programme thereafter.
The pic above shows ten MPC's all running at the same time.

    This snapshot looks awful.
That's because the monitor is in high contrast mode.

Way to dig up an old thread. Although the OP doesn't appear to have been to the forum since 2009.
