I heard there was a way to capture segments from whatever is playing on windows media player but as yet I have found nothing that will do the job. Can anyone suggest a method ?

I'm guessing you're meaning Windows Movie Maker because I don't think it's possible to capture from Windows Media Player.

I stand corrected! Although I didn't start this thread, how good is this method?? I normally capture with my ATI TV Wonder Pro's software and haven't had any problems.
